In the early hours of Tuesday morning, pregnant City Girls member Yung Miami, whose real name is Caresha Brownlee, car was shot up.
The rapper’s Mercedes G-Wagon was shot at multiple times. It is unknown if she was in the vehicle when the shots were fired but, we do know that she was not harmed during the ambush. This comes less than a week after rapper Kodak Black threatened to punch Browlee in the stomach. That came from a freestyle Black did while in jail.
At the scene
The Miami-Dade police quickly responded to a report of shots being fired.
Public Information Officer Angel Rodriguez said multiple police units, including investigative teams, went to the scene early Tuesday morning after the call came in at 12:57 a.m. They arrived at the scene within two to three minutes of the call. Fortunately, the shooters didn’t injure anyone. Rodriguez did not confirm who called in the incident or if anyone else was present in the car.
There have not been any arrests in the case but police are thoroughly investigating every possible lead. “Our detectives are working any and all possible leads that they have. We have no suspects right now.” Rodriguez said.
Play by play
Brownlee was leaving a recording studio in the area when another vehicle pulled up behind and started randomly firing at her car. According to unofficial records. “They just started shooting. They had the lights off so I never saw them. Whoever it was, they kept the lights off. I don’t know where they came from.” The rapper recounts to 808 Mafia producer Southside who she is expecting a baby with. “It came from behind. The shots were shot from behind me. They shot it from behind me because when I got to the stop sign, I said, ‘Oh sh*t, somebody shooting.’ The first shot hit…and then I don’t know how the shots came from the side of me…” She tells the detective.
